More Pictures

I wanted to show more of the nifty Birthday Calendar we are making on Saturday, October 23, from 6:30 - 9:30.  These are not your ordinary, months of the year calendars!  They are MUCH more useful!  Each month has line for each day, 1 - 30 or 31 as the month goes, and you can write in people's names on those days so that you will remember their birthdays.  Hang the calendar next to your regular calendar, and never forget another birthday!  These are especially nice for older relatives who have lots of kids and grandkids to remember, especially if you were to combine it with some lovely handmade birthday cards and pre-stamped envelopes.  What an awesome Christmas or birthday gift THAT would be!  Much better than a gift card and way more personal.  So, here's more of the months, and a couple of pix that show the whole page.  Enjoy!

More Samples!

Here's some more samples of upcoming classes.  The first three are for the Christmas 10/10 on Oct. 3, Oct. 7, and Oct. 24.

This technique (above) looks difficult and it's actually SO easy!

I wanted to show the color better for this card - this is our Wild Wasabi, which is a new permanent color this year.  One of my favorites!!!

Just a reminder that the Friday Fun Five Treat-astic class is being repeated on Friday, October 8, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00.  The cost is just $15, and you REALLY get a lot for your money.  You can see all the samples in a previous blog entry, and here's my favorite, just because I love it!  This is the top of a beautiful box made from chipboard and cardstock.

Now, some samples from the Birthday Calendar Class.  You'll make a calendar for keeping track of birthdays - you can use it forever, and it makes a fantastic gift - IF you can bear to give it away!  This is a new category of class, called "Saturday Night Special", and this class is Saturday, Oct. 23 from 6:30 - 9:30. The cost is $25.

This one is for December, of course!

Finally, I have one sample from the Watercolor Wonder Stamp Sampler class on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 or 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  This class is $15, and we'll be exploring the various, gorgeous ways you can use watercolor techniques.

Won't YOU join us at a class soon?

Upcoming Classes

I still have seats in Thursday night's Stamp Sampler class where we are using some really nifty new stuff to make vintage cards.  These are ALL the rage right now - in fact, anything vintage is!  And, of course, those of you who know me, know that vintage is MY thing, too.  I love these cards - I love creating them and making them - especially since I get to use all kinds of cool stuff to do it!  Anyway, the class is Thursday, Sept. 30 from 7:00 - 9:00 and is just $15.  We're making five cards LOADED with goodies!

Also, my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE classes of the year are just around the corner!  The first Christmas 10/10 is this Sunday, October 3, from 2:00 - 5:00.  We're making ten cards - GREAT cards (modest, ain't I!) for just $20 plus we'll have door prizes, discounts, Christmas carols, candy, and so much fun it shouldn't even be LEGAL.  Don't miss out!  If you can't come to this one, there are two more - Thursday, Oct. 7 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30, and Sunday, Oct. 24 from 2:00 - 5:00.  Here are two of the cards.  Remember that these have to be fairly quick and easy, as we have so many to do in three hours!

The Other Two Treat-astic Projects

Seriously, I am SO excited about this little box!  I've seen them lots of times on various SU!  blogs and so forth and on our demonstrators' gallery, but never made one myself.  They're REALLY easy and so cute - and adaptable, because you can make them lots of sizes and shapes.  Also, here's the other Halloween project - ever since I first laid eyes on the new Owl punch, I've wanted to put him on a milk carton!

Seriously, this is one GREAT class!  Don't miss out!

Friday Fun Five "Treat-astic" Class

Do you like to surprise your friends with cute treats on holidays?  Or, maybe you're a room mom looking for a really "knock 'em for a loop" cute idea to wow your third grader's class?  Maybe you have a Brownie or Girl Scout troop looking for fun and simple projects to take to a nursing home.  This class is for all of you loveable, wonderful people out there who love to make great treats!

We'll make five different kinds of simple treat containers.  All of these can be made with simple materials and a small amount of time - no "spend three hours sticking tiny flowers into foam with pins" kinds of projects!  We'll do two Christmas, two Halloween, and one fall/Thanksgiving project.  Here are three to tempt you!

This first one is ingenious!  You make it from a pop top fruit can from the grocery store.  You can replace the contents with treats of your own, leaving the pop top IN PLACE!  I'll show you how!  This little mummy is just unbearably cute!  Here's the saying on top:
And....underneath the saying is the pop top - what mysterious treasure are hiding here?!

The beautiful pumpkin below would be gorgeous as a place holder at your Thanksgiving dinner, or you could put a small bag of treats inside - or both!

Now, look at this little cutie patootie!  This elf has a small box behind him to hold fun treats - the candy canes are a little big, but it was all I had...and besides, they kind of look cute there!

I can really only seat about 8 people in this class, so call or email ASAP - and remember - we probably won't have internet on Thursday and Friday, so if you try to sign up last minute, call my home number.  The class is this Friday, Sept. 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00, and is just $15 for the five projects.  Plus, you'll take home directions so you can create these at home!

Greenhouse Gala Goody for new recruits!

From now through Oct. 18 - while supplies last, anyway - new recruits who sign up with Stampin' Up! will receive the amazing new Greenhouse Gala tote bag with their kit - for free!  This bag - I have one! - has all kinds of wonderful nooks, pockets, and crannies, for transporting your great Stampin' Up! supplies for workshops and other events.  If joining SU! has been on your mind, don't put it off a day longer!  Visit the "join now" page on my website - you can sign up right online, and be making money from your hobby before you know it!

Change of Cards

In the last post, the second card listed - the yellow and green one - is actually going to be one of the cards for this week's New Catalog 10/10.  I realized, as I was setting up Open House - which was AWESOME, by the way - that those two cards used the same set, which would make it difficult for Make n' Takes.  So, I switched it out with another card.  Visit here tomorrow for new samples from upcoming events!

Open House and New Catalog 10/10 Samples

Here are some samples from upcoming events to tempt you!  I am having WAY too much fun with all the new stuff from the catalog, plus lots of returning things, as well.

Two of the Make n' Takes from Open House:

And these are two samples from the New Catalog 10/10:

I sure hope you can join us for both of these!  I already have several seats taken in both sessions of the 10/10 so if you are interested, please let me know ASAP!

I DID IT!

(Sung loudly) "I DID it...I DID it....I'm AWESOME....I DID it!!!!" What did I do? I finally figured out how to bring my blogspot blog to my Stampin' Up! website, so you can either access it by coming straight here OR you can go to my SU! website and see all the great classes on the schedule, find out all the cool promotions that are coming up, you can see over 50 creative projects from SU!, you can order 24/7...AND you can read this fascinating blog (ha!).

Of course, lately, it's been a very spotty and UN-fascinating blog, but now we have successfully gotten our girls off to college, and I can dig in and come up with some great things for you guys!  Keep watching!
